THE GOLD RECOVERY FROM CHLORIDE SOLUTIONS BY A HIGH SELECTIVE ION EXCHANGE RESIN IONAC-SR3

The recovery of gold from chloride solutions by a high selective ion exchange resin IONAC-SR3 has been studied. The adsorption isotherm was described by the Freundlich equation. Gold quantities adsorbed on the resin depend on the initial gold concentration, resin/solution ratio, solution temperature and stirring rate. The desorption of gold from resin was carried out with acid solutions of thiourea and depends on the reagent concentrations. Using the selective ion exchange resin IONAC-SR3 inh a hydrometallurgical chloride solution, gold recovery reached 92,4%.
