Effects Generated by Interraction of Urea
and Ca(NO3)2 and Ca (H2PO4)

Abstract:

The main procedures for fertiliser include one step in which the calcium must be removed. This element cannot be completely separated, so that during the ammonization the remnant calcium is transformed in to undesirable compounds for vegetables (insoluble orthophosphates). A lot of inorganic calcium salts interact with urea in order to form complex compounds, and thus the formation of insoluble compounds can be limited. Based on this fact, two complex compounds respectively Ca(NO3)2×4CO(NH2)2 and Ca(H2PO4)2×4CO(NH2)2 have been synthesized and characterized. Finally, two complex fertilizers type NP have been prepared with or without urea for which the solubility in different media was determined. The results obtained confirm the presence of the two compounds in the complex fertilizers synthesized with urea, and the prediction on the water solubility of phosphorus increased in the case of complex fertilisers manufactured with urea is confirmed.
