Study on the Efficiency of the Corrosive Inhibitors in Aqueous Solutions

Abstract:

This paper presents a study on the efficiency of the anti-corrosive protection of the OL 45 steel, and of the W4301 allied steel, respectively, in reflux water that has been sampled from an atmospheric distillation equipment, by the use of to corrosion inhibitors, namely inhibitor1 -- based on polytriazole - and inibitor 2 - based on ethylendiaminotetraacetic acid. The study has been performed under static regime, at ambient temperature of 25 -30 oC. The concentration of the tested inhibitors was 200 ppm and 500 ppm, respectively, for each type of steel.
