The Synthesis Investigation of Some Vitreous Materials in the ZnO-TiO2-SiO2

Abstract:

The paper presents studies made for the obtaining of vitreous materials in ternary system ZnO-TiO2-SiO2 by sol-gel route. The system is of great interest in the field of toxic wastes incorporation and also for chemical protection coatings on several materials utilised in optoelectronics. The influence of pH, amount of water and NH3 concentration on gelifing process, for several compositions is discused. Investigations are made for structural informations using an IR spectrophotometer SPEKORD M 80. The pH values measured on the digital pH meter PH L1 and the thermal behaviour was emphasized with aan MOM derivatograph. Keywords: sol-gel method, vitreous ZnO-TiO2-SiO2 system, pH values, infrared, thermal analysis
